My Green Coffee Bean Extract Experiment

Just for clarity and full disclose, this scientific experiment came about quite by accident on April 25, 2012 when I randomly turned on the TV to Dr. Oz, a show that I have seen, but don't watch often. I've been feeling a bit, shall we say, bloated, er....um....a few pounds heavier than normal, and so I watched. On the show was

and he was talking with Dr. Oz about this amazing product called Pure Green Coffee Bean Extract. He cited the results of a limited experiment where 16 adults had lost an average of 17 lbs. over just 12 weeks by taking two 400 mg capsules 30 minutes before each meal. They didn't change their dietary habits. They didn't change the amount of frequency of exercise they did. Nothing. They just took 2 capsules before each meal.

So I said WOW. I wanna try that. So here we go. My stash arrived today from Pure Health. Took about 3 weeks to get my order because the Oz show caused such a huge increase in orders....so I have 60 tablets in these 2 bottles. If I take 6 per day I'll have a good 10 day experiment.

So I'm starting this blog to simply report both my weight and blood pressure (green coffee bean is supposed to reduce BP, and I'm on daily BP medication) so wanna watch that too.

So here goes.

TODAY I took my first dose after lunch because it arrived after I'd eaten. But from here on, I'll take it 30 minutes before each meal and see what happens. Only got 2 bottles with 30 pills each, so just ordered 4 more bottles so I can have a full 30 day experiment.

BP not taken today. Will start in the morning with weight and BP
