Day 9

Still taking this stuff religiously - 2 capsules 30 minutes before every meal and still not losing any weight at all. Eating and exercising the same as always. Today I'm 133.2 lbs. About the same as when I started nine whole days ago. I'm definitely sending this blog link to Dr. Oz when I'm done. Don't feel any different. Don't look any different. Repeat after me - There is no panacea. There is no panacea. There is no panacea.

Day 7


This is a discouraged clown face. Looks just like me.

Today I weigh 133 lbs. Not working at all. Yesterday I searched to see if anyone else might be blogging their results, but so far I haven't found anyone. Very discouraging. Deep down I really knew there was no panacea. I just wanted to lose 10 lbs. I have almost an entire bottle left, so I'll keep going.

And I'll start logging what I eat so you don't think I'm totally pigging out. I really don't eat that much. Never been a calorie counter. And I never really snack. Just had a small bowl of Kashi Go Lean cereal. 200 calories per bowl. Now going for a 1 hour walk.

Day 6

OK. This isn't funny now. Today I weigh 133.2, which is a full 2 lbs HEAVIER than I was when I started. BP is 111/70. I have taken this stuff as prescribed every single day. I've been drinking the full glass of water. I've been on my same regimen of meals and exercise with no real changes there. Not sure if this is a scam or not. Yesterday all I ate was sushi at lunch and a lean cuisine for dinner. UGH....I'm not quitting. I've gotta see if this stuff will work. I'll give it 5 more days. That's how many pills I have left in bottle #2.

Breakfast - Special K with Red Berries with skim milk.
Banana at 11 am.
Lunch 35 calorie wheat bread sandwich with turkey and a smidge of mayo.
Burgers and corn on the cob planned for dinner.

In here he says to drink 10 glasses of water a day. WOW. That's a lot for me, but I'm gonna try that today and we'll see what happens.

Day 5

Day 5 - weight 133.0. BP 139/92. Definitely going in the wrong direction. Went to a big food event in Dallas last night - Taste of the NFL - so I'm sure that's the issue here. Gained 1.8 lbs since I started. But I do have faith and I'll be really good this week. I will say that my weight can fluctuate easily between 130 and 133 so this is pretty normal. But wonder when this stuff starts working????

I have been taking my pills religiously, 2 pills 30 minutes before each meal. So I'll get back on track this week. Heading to the gym now. Stay tuned. And don't lose the faith!

DAY 3 My Green Coffee Bean Experiment



OK - Day 3 now, and I weigh 131.8, which is a whopping weight loss of 0.2 lbs - and I've never felt better. [kidding]. Going in the right direction, so I remain hopeful. My BP is 124/82. No exercise this morning. Have to go to a baby shower for my friend Becky, so I'll be sure to take my 2 miracle capsules before devouring all those petit fours, mimosas and finger sandwiches while saying "awww" over and over. I don't really like sweets. I'm more of a savory person. Had a slice of leftover pizza with anchovies for breakfast. That's more my style.


Adding these photos to make this blog more interesting, but I really don't overeat. My downfall is wine. I always say, I'd weight 95 lbs if I didn't drink wine.

My Green Coffee Bean Extract Experiment

Just for clarity and full disclose, this scientific experiment came about quite by accident on April 25, 2012 when I randomly turned on the TV to Dr. Oz, a show that I have seen, but don't watch often. I've been feeling a bit, shall we say, bloated, er....um....a few pounds heavier than normal, and so I watched. On the show was

and he was talking with Dr. Oz about this amazing product called Pure Green Coffee Bean Extract. He cited the results of a limited experiment where 16 adults had lost an average of 17 lbs. over just 12 weeks by taking two 400 mg capsules 30 minutes before each meal. They didn't change their dietary habits. They didn't change the amount of frequency of exercise they did. Nothing. They just took 2 capsules before each meal.

So I said WOW. I wanna try that. So here we go. My stash arrived today from Pure Health. Took about 3 weeks to get my order because the Oz show caused such a huge increase in orders....so I have 60 tablets in these 2 bottles. If I take 6 per day I'll have a good 10 day experiment.

So I'm starting this blog to simply report both my weight and blood pressure (green coffee bean is supposed to reduce BP, and I'm on daily BP medication) so wanna watch that too.

So here goes.

TODAY I took my first dose after lunch because it arrived after I'd eaten. But from here on, I'll take it 30 minutes before each meal and see what happens. Only got 2 bottles with 30 pills each, so just ordered 4 more bottles so I can have a full 30 day experiment.
